About Erik Slutsky
Erik Slutsky says of his work that, " it's a reflection of myself, a symphony of colour, form and line, of what I see and feel in the world around me. But also from that spiritual and mysterious world that exists only in my imagination".
His work deals with themes of beauty, truth and justice, but like life itself, it sometimes includes their opposites. His paintings are elaborately colourful, passionate, joyful, figurative, delicately balanced and delightfully mysterious; echoing the artists curiosity of everything he sees.
Erik Slutsky's work can be found in numerous public and private collections around the world. He has participated in more than 50 exhibitions.
Slutsky is a self-taught artist. He lives in Montréal, Canada and currently spends his winters in Mérida.
Erik Slutsky dice de su obra "es un reflejo de mí mismo, una sinfonía de color, forma y línea, de lo que veo y siento en el mundo que me rodea. Pero también de ese mundo espiritual y misterioso que existe solo en mi imaginación".
Su trabajo trata temas de belleza, verdad y justicia, pero como la vida misma, a veces incluye sus opuestos. Sus pinturas son elaboradamente coloridas, apasionadas, alegres, figurativas, delicadamente equilibradas y deliciosamente misteriosas; haciéndose eco de la curiosidad del artista por todo lo que ve.
El trabajo de Erik Slutsky se puede encontrar en numerosas colecciones públicas y privadas de todo el mundo.
Ha participado en más de 50 exposiciones. Slutsky es un artista autodidacta. Vive en Montreal, Canadá y actualmente pasa los inviernos en Mérida.
