Having graduated in 2007, Ihovany Abreu won two first prizes in painting in the II Salon Provincial Martiano and in the International of Plastic Arts Cuba-Asturias. He was a teacher of drawing and painting at the House of Culture in his hometown of Caimito. Ihovany feels, thinks and loves art. His work addresses the impairment of women in captivity and love. This concept refers primarily to woman and theirs existential concerns. Personifying his country's Cuban culture, Ihovany reaches people's hearts through his art.
He plays at discovering himself in each brushstroke, with ancient philosophies such as Taoism and the Mayan culture, making forms such as flowers and butterflies, natural elements of everyday life that in his creation reach other senses, thus breaking the limits in favor of its beauty.
Habiéndose graduado en 2007, Ihovany Abreu ganó dos primeros premios en pintura: en el II Salón Provincial Martiano y en el Internacional de Artes Plásticas Cuba-Asturias. También fue profesor de dibujo y pintura en la Casa de la Cultura de su ciudad natal de Caimito. Ihovany siente, piensa y ama el arte. Su obra aborda el deterioro de la mujer en el cautiverio y el amor. Este concepto se refiere principalmente a la mujer y sus preocupaciones existenciales. Personificando la cultura cubana de su país, Ihovany llega al corazón de las personas a través de su arte.
