JESÚS PERAZA MENÉNDEZ

Wrapped up in a time of evolution, technological advances and continuity of artistic development that had already exploded during the Post-Revolution with Magical Realism, a world had been created to discover that it would delight Jesus in his childhood and youth, encouraging his inspiration in ancestry. He drew through the hands of his father, the sculptor Andrés Peraza Ojeda, the aesthetic creation and developed his own creative circles starting with drawing and painting. In the 70's he painted symbolic conceptual art, an expression of the movement of the form with black ink technique on paper.

In his beginnings he exhibited at the José Peón Contreras Theater, Lasalle University, Motul Municipal Palace, Canton Palace Museum and La Casa de México in Havana, Cuba. In the late 80's and early 90's, he incorporated another creative hoop with the technique of applying sea sand on wood with acrylic and watercolor paint. At the beginning of the year 2000, he entered the monoprint technique and he produced sculptures using wood, train rail nails and henequen threads, among other materials for the Regional Temple Aesthetics project, with traditional stone and wood carvers in Yucatan . His work has reached Mexico, Cuba, Holland and USA. He was selected at the VI National Biennial of Visual Arts of Yucatan, 2013 and Jury at the V National Biennial of Visual Arts of Yucatan, 2011. He died in september 2022, leaving a legacy among the artists of the Yucatán.

Envuelto en una época de evolución, avances tecnológicos y continuidad del desarrollo artístico que ya había estallado durante la Post-Revolución con el Realismo Mágico, se había creado un mundo para descubrir que deleitaría a Jesús en su infancia y juventud, fomentando su inspiración en ascendencia. Dibujó de la mano de su padre, el escultor Andrés Peraza Ojeda la creación estética y desarrolló sus propios círculos creativos a partir del dibujo y la pintura. En los años 70 pintó arte conceptual simbólico, expresión del movimiento de la forma con técnica de tinta negra sobre papel.

En sus inicios expuso en el Teatro José Peón Contreras, Universidad Lasalle, Palacio Municipal de Motul, Museo del Palacio Cantón y La Casa de México en La Habana, Cuba. A finales de los 80 y principios de los 90 incorporó otro aro creativo con la técnica de aplicar arena de mar sobre madera con pintura acrílica y acuarela. A principios del año 2000 incursiona en la técnica del monograbado y produce esculturas en madera, clavos de tren e hilos de henequén, entre otros materiales para el proyecto Estética Regional del Templo, con talladores tradicionales de piedra y madera en Yucatán. Su obra ha llegado a varias partes de México, así como Cuba, Holanda y Estados Unidos. Fue seleccionado en la VI Bienal Nacional de Artes Visuales de Yucatán, 2013 y Jurado en la V Bienal Nacional de Artes Visuales de Yucatán, 2011. Falleció en septiembre de 2022, dejando un legado entre los artistas de Yucatán.
