On our journey to discover Yucatan, we learned that there is a place very close to the port of Celestún known as El Palmar. Precious stories are always heard from this place, since its beaches and settings are almost virgin. What we did not know is that to get there you have to travel a dirt road for two to four hours (depending on the vehicle) on trails that can only fit one car, surrounded by spiky plants, swamps, not very firm sand and no phone coverage. This trip is ideal to get away from what we call civilization and  reflect on some relevant topic. Looking at the road for hours forces you to free your mind and feel the environment around you. The trip was worth it, because it is one of the most beautiful and impressive settings I have ever seen, as well as reflecting on   important issues. Upon returning to Celestún, we thanked life for everything we have.
