About Sandra Dooley

Sandra Dooley (Havana, 1964) self-taught who has not stopped working for more than 22 years. She has had more than 80 collective exhibitions in Cuba, the United States, France and Germany.

She practices the mixmedia technique, Sandra's fantastic paintings are created with scraps of fabric that she salvages from tattered clothing, buttons, brooches, giving touches of oil to the works, which are fun representations of women, children and animals in their daily lives. She is also passionate about recycling and protector of animals.

Sandra Dooley, originaria de la Habana, Cuba (1964), artista autodidacta que no ha parado de trabajar por mas de 22 años. Ha realizado más de 80 exposiciones colectivas en Cuba, Estados Unidos, Francia y Alemania.

Practica la técnica mixmedia, las pinturas fantásticas de Sandra están creadas con pedazos de telas que ella rescata de la ropa hecha jirones, botones, broches, dando toques de óleo a las obras, las cuales son divertidas representaciones de mujeres, niños y animales en su vida cotidiana. También es apasionada del reciclado y protectora de los animales.
